Kelsie + Scott | Summer Engagements in Colorado

Kelsie’s sister was one of my best friends growing up, and it was really surreal to be able to do this session for somebody that I knew from so young. My first memories of Kelsie were at swimming school, where I got stuck in level six because I couldn’t do the butterfly. (Still can’t, to be honest haha)

A lot has definitely changed since then. When we met, both of our families lived in Illinois. My family moved to Colorado, and Kelsie’s family moved to Iowa where she met Scott. Kelsie and Scott met in band, where Kelsie played the flute and Scott played the french horn.

It’s really adorable to see how they interact together. Some people need a little coaching to feel comfortable being themselves with a blonde-haired third-wheel poking her Canon camera in your face. (understandable!) But Kelsie and Scott were quick to jump into conversations of what they were going to eat after the engagement session.

And, in case you were curious, the answer was pizza :)

I can tell that these two are going to experience so many fun adventures together. Scott arguably knows more about Colorado than I do, and keep in mind that he lives in Iowa. I had so much fun seeing Kelsie again and meeting Scott.

Kelsie and Scott - thanks for climbing on top of rock piles and sitting in pokey weeds and running up the side of a mountain all for the photos. You two are charming, hilarious, and really fun to photograph!
