Claire + Adam | Wedding at the Silverthorne Pavillion
Claire and Adam got married in Dillon on a beautiful (and hot!) June day. It was really rewarding to be a part of the planning process and see things fall into place so beautifully.
What’s even more amazing, is knowing all of the years and steps that brought Adam and Claire to this day, and this moment. Claire and Adam met at work after they were both transferred to work in Colorado. Claire says, “We were both part of a crew of employees who migrated to Colorado after the closing of our facility in Newtown, PA. The ‘Newtown Ex-Pats’ regularly met for happy hours after work to relax and bond over our newfound lifestyle. The two of us quickly realized how much we enjoyed each other’s company and started to spend time away from the group. Our first official date was June 15, 2015.”
They spent the beginning of their relationship exploring Colorado, including hiking eight of Colorado’s 14ers. They included stories of their adventures across the state on each of their reception tables.
When I asked Claire what her favorite thing was about Adam, she said, “I love that Adam is loved by everyone. As recently quoted by a family friend: ‘I cannot wait to meet Adam! It seems like his middle name is ‘is such a great guy’!!! His first name is always followed with those words…’ I also love that my mom loves him. She is always telling me how he’s a keeper, and how I got so lucky to find him. It means a lot that she really enjoys the things he does for me.
I love that Adam is a giver/doer. He is always finding little ways to make me happy - by bringing home flowers or food I like, by making me my favorite drink and bringing it to me on the couch...
I appreciate that he takes time to be involved in my hobbies and interests and supports me (or even joins me) in doing them.”
During their vows, they both said that their marriage wasn’t really starting anything new. They have been building a relationship for over 4 years, and these vows are just a continuation of what they have already done together. I thought that was so beautiful. The wedding is a beginning in a sense, but it’s really somewhere in the middle of a touching, life-long love story.
My Favorite Detail: There were so many beautiful sentimental details. I loved the shawl made from a piece of her grandmother’s wedding dress, but also loved the “something blue” that Claire’s family secretly sewed into her slip.
Tear-Jerker Moment: Definitely those beautiful vows that I mentioned above
A Claire and Adam Kind of Love: A love that is accepting of every part of each other. Goofy, but also down to earth. Adventurous and up to exploring the entire world together.
Thank you to the team of vendors that made this beautiful wedding possible.
